Paintings of Italy
I was just thinking today, it’s a while since Alan & I visited Italy. Venice holds some wonderful memories for us, it was the fist place in Italy that we visited together.
Alan being the artist was quite emotional on the day we left. He was so awestruck by the amazing architecture and already knew that he would be back many more times with his paints and brushes. This small watercolour painitng of Venice is magical.

Another of our favourite cities is Florence, the first time we visited we got a bus to San Gimignano. Walking up the main street whilst sampling wild boar salami had us sold!!
Alan sat in the square painitng while I sourced the local bakery and brought fresh bread and a glass of wine to enjoy in the warmth of the sun.
This is one of the paintings of San Gimignano where the famous towers are bathed in sunlight.
