Last night, the winners of the 2010 Bath Prize were announced at a special artists preview. On arrival to the Octagon Gallery, I was delighted to see that my painting of the Roman Baths by Torchlight had received a “Highly Commended” award.
I then noticed that my painting of the Royal Crescent, Bath was nowhere to be seen. I realised that it must be one of the four main prize winning paintings which at that point, were covered by red cloths.
I had to wait until 7pm before the winners were unveiled. It was great to receive the award and prize money. The private view is at 10am this morning until 1pm. The exhibition continues until 9th October.
