Humble Pie
How utterly humbling to see the joy on the beautiful faces of the people in Haiti when they received a bottle of water!!! It was wonderful to see them singing together, worshiping God in faith for His provision.

I have finally got round to doing some work on www.alanreed.com yesterday as I’ve been out of action for so long nursing my knee after the operation. I was getting worried about the amount of pain I was in until the surgeon explained to me last week that it had been a very bad tear of the cartilage and difficult to get to. Hence, I am still forced to resting it.

After a relaxing day apart from taking down the Christmas decorations, we ended by having a stupendous dinner as follows served with Valdobbiadene Prosecco :
Smoked salmon with lightly buttered toast and rocket
Lemon sole goujons drizzled with a chili dip
Grilled lemon sole ( from North Shield’s Fish Quay ) with spinach

Happy New Year 2010
Well, we had a lovely Christmas starting with our daughter Louise and son Oliver coming over to stay from Christmas eve with the children.
Louise and I made sweet mince pies, stuffing ready for the turkey and roast ham in black strap molasses for supper.
Christmas day was full of excitement opening presents in stages throughout the day in between glasses of sherry, peeling vegetables and cooking...
